§ Mr. BottomleyWe greatly welcome the recently improved prospects for an ending, by negotiation, of the Indonesian confrontation of Malaysia and Singapore. As the House recognises, Her Majesty's Government cannot negotiate on behalf of Malaysia and Singapore, but we are in touch with the parties and stand ready to help in any way we properly can.
