§ Mr. R. Carrasked the Minister of Aviation what is the value of the contracts so far signed with the Saudi Arabian Government which form part of the recent agreement relating to the provision of an air defence system.
§ Mr. MulleyThe value of the Saudi Arabian order was announced in the House on 21st December, 1965, as "over £100 million". Of this sum detailed contracts amounting to £55 million have so far been signed. The remainder, valued at over £45 million, are at an advanced stage of preparation and will be signed when the negotiations have been completed. The contractual details are, of course, confidential.
