§ Mr. Arthur Blenkinsopasked the Secretary of State for Commonwealth Relations what further action he is taking in connection with the ban on supplies of oil for Rhodesia through Beira.
§ Mr. BottomleyWe have agreed that we will for the time being help with the expenses of the Mozambique pipeline undertaking and in particular the expenses of maintaining and repairing the pipeline and installations, since the pipeline is out of use. Our agreed contribution is £54,000 a month, for a minimum period of three months from 7 April, 1966. Parliament will be asked in due course to approve the necessary Supplementary Estimate. In the meantime advances will be made as required from the Civil Contingencies Fund.
