Mr. Mitchellasked the Minister of Technology what proposals he is considering to ensure the full use of the national resources available at the Atomic Weapons Research Establishment, Aldermaston; and whether he will make a statement.
§ Mr. ShoreUseful diversification of the work of the establishment, outside the atomic weapons field, has already taken place. Further possibilities for increasing the scope and volume of this work are under examination, but these are at present too tentative to be specified. Suggestions under examination include those put forward by the Atomic Energy Authority staff side at a recent meeting with my right hon. Friend.
