Mr. Bob Brownasked the Minister of Labour, in view of absenteeism in industry due to prolonged illness where early diagnosis could result in quicker recovery, and of the reluctance of workers to take time off work for fear of loss of earnings or deduction from annual leave, if he will seek agreement between employers and unions for a reasonable amount of time off work to seek dental or medical advice.
