§ Mr. Fortescueasked the Minister of Transport when she will give her decisions on new vehicle lighting regulations.
§ Mr. SwinglerOn 10th May, 1966, my right hon. Friend circulated draft regulations to control the fitting of headlamps on motor vehicles and asked for comments by 15th June. Subject to this consultation she intends to make the regulations effective this autumn. Her Working Party on the lighting of vehicles is now considering the circumstances in which headlamps should be used during darkness. She hopes to have its advice soon.
