Mr. Gresham Cookeasked the Minister of Transport what has been the result of the consultations her Department has had with Mr. Terrell on the matter of accident prevention on the roads; what consultations she has had with police authorities on the matter; and if she will introduce legislation to give effect to his proposals.
§ Mr. SwinglerWe have reached the conclusion, for reasons which have been given in detail to the hon. Member, that Mr. Terrell's plan does not offer a practicable way of dealing with road accidents.
