§ 81. Mr. Steeleasked the Secretary of State for Scotland what improvements are planned on the A.814 between Dumbarton and Garelochhead, in view of the volume of traffic arising from the siting of the Polaris base.
§ Mr. RossIn addition to diverting A.814 at Faslane, as has already been done, Dunbarton County Council has plans for improving this road, with grant-aid, between Shandon and Rhu and from Craigendorran southwards. There will shortly be discussions between the Council, the Ministry of Defence and the Scottish Development Department about how these plans can be implemented most expeditiously.
