§ 65. Mr. Alfred Morrisasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government what is his estimate of the total financial benefit to ratepayers in the City of Manchester from the Rating Act 1965; and how this compares with the total financial benefit to the ratepayers in the City of Manchester from the Rating (Interim Relief) Act 1964.
§ Mr. MacCollIt is too early to estimate the benefit under the 1965 Act, because applications for rebates are still coming in and being dealt with. The latest figures of grants to Manchester under the 1964 Act are £44,500 for 1964–65 and £54,770 for 1965–66 in aid of revenues generally, £240 and nil respectively for individual rate relief.
