HC Deb 05 May 1966 vol 727 cc139-40W
28 and 29. Mr. Geoffrey Lloyd

asked the Secretary of State for Wales (1) to what extent recruitment of skilled men needed in the Clywedog dam has been affected by the activities of 6th March 1966; and what measures are being taken to ensure full protection for workers on the site;

(2) if he is aware that land required in connection with the Clywedog dam has been subdivided so as to delay acquisition proceedings; and what steps he is taking to prevent undue delays to this project.

Mr. Ifor Davies

Recruitment for this project has not been affected by incidents which I am sure the vast majority of the people of Wales deplore.

The Clywedog Reservoir is expected to bring important benefits to Wales and the Clywedog Reservoir Joint Authority has taken the appropriate measures for protection.

No delay is expected by the Authority as a result of land acquisition difficulties.
