§ Sir M. Galpernasked the Secretary of State for Scotland what reply he has sent to the Corporation of Glasgow with regard to its request for estended duties for the special constabulary.
§ Mr. RossI was asked by Glasgow Corporation to relax the restrictions imposed on the number of tours of duty undertaken by special constables for training purposes so as to allow 50 tours per annum instead of 12. A circular which meets this request was issued yesterday; the Corporation was informed that this would be done.
