HC Deb 09 March 1966 vol 725 c525W
76. Mr. McMaster

asked the Secretary of State for Defence if he will place a production order for the Tigercat missile for general use by the Army as well as the Royal Air Force Regiment.

Mr. Reynolds

No, the Army do not have a requirement for this missile. Both the Army and the Royal Air Force propose to satisfy their long-term requirement with one entirely new equipment. The Army has sufficient existing equipment for the interim period but the Royal Air Force need some additional equipment in the interim period and for this purpose we propose to buy a limited number of Tigercat fire units.
