Since there are significant variations from year to year in the kinds of coal supplied to the domestic market, and in the coalfields from which it comes, annual averages would be liable to mislead. I am therefore asking the Chairman of the National Coal Board to write to my hon. Friend to give him the information for which he asks and to explain the figures.
