§ 97. Mr. Dudley Smithasked the Minister of Aviation if he is aware of the recent increase in complaints about aircraft noise in the Chiswick area; and whether he will have special checks made as a result, over and above the present noise level system used.
§ Mr. MulleyIncreased landings on No. 1 runway, due to temporary restrictions on No. 5 runway, may have caused some additional noise in Chiswick. But I am not aware of any increase in complaints from this area apart from the cases notified by the hon. Member. No. 5 runway is now in full use and I do not think any additional checks are necessary.
