HC Deb 08 March 1966 vol 725 cc485-6W
Mr. William Hamilton

asked the Prime Minister if he will recommend the establishment of a Royal Commission to inquire into all restrictive practices of professional organisations, many of which are monopolistic in character, which fix their own financial rewards and the conditions of entry to their respective organisations.

The Prime Minister

I shall bear my hon. Friend's suggestion in mind though, if an inquiry were decided on, the Monopolies Commission might be a more appropriate body to undertake it.
