§ Mr. Ogdenasked the Minister of Health what reply he has sent to representations from the Chester City Council and other interested persons for an inquiry into the conduct and operation of the Dee-side Junior Training Centre; if he will hold such an inquiry and ensure that parents of children attending the centre are able to give evidence to it; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. LoughlinMy right hon. Friend has told the council that he agrees that there should be an independent fact-finding inquiry into allegations made about the conduct of this centre, and has suggested that the Council should appoint an independent person to hold the inquiry. I understand that they intend to do so.
