§ Mr. Wingfield Digbyasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government whether he is aware of the contamination 359W by oil of beaches in West Dorset, frequented by holidaymakers; that one patch of oil measured 150 yards by 50 yards; and what action he is taking in the matter.
§ Mr. MacCollMy right hon. Friend knows that certain beaches in West Dorset are affected. On the general problem of oil on beaches, I would refer the hon. Member to the replies given to Questions by my hon. and learned Friend the Member for Aberdeen, North (Mr. Hector Hughes) on 14th February, and by the hon. Member for Essex, South-East (Mr. Braine) on 1st March.
