§ Mr. Roy JenkinsNo. The provisions of the Police Act, 1964, particularly those relating to amalgamation schemes, central research and collaboration between forces, and the other steps I described on 2nd February for making the most efficient use of manpower and equipment in police forces, must be allowed time to show their effect.
