§ 62. Mr. Malcolm MacMillanasked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether, as proprietor, and to protect local crofting land, the roads, and the local landing ground for aircraft from flooding as a result of the progressive encroachment of the sea and of aeolian erosion, he will now take steps to ensure that a survey is made of the north-west coast of the Isle of Barra with a view to coastal protection measures.
§ Mr. RossNo. I am well aware of the problem and I am satisfied that the protection measures I am already taking as landlord, using the latest techniques, are adequate.
