§ Mr. John MorrisThe Vote Estimate was based on a deficit of £115 million. Since it was prepared improvements in wages and working conditions have increased costs, and gross receipts are less than expected. It is too early to give a firm estimate of the probable deficit for the year, but it may well be as much as £120 million.
