§ 89. Mr. Ridsdaleasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs if he will make a statement on British policy towards Taiwan, particularly in relation to the admission of China to the United Nations.
§ Mrs. WhiteHer Majesty's Government believe that the China seat in the United Nations should be occupied by representatives of the Chinese People's Republic. As for Formosa, it is our view that sovereignty over this island is undetermined.
