The sample was constructed on the basis of ranking all authorities of these three classes together in one order of population and selecting every tenth authority. The information below is based on the latest estimates available:

extended for one year. All but a small amount of the Fund has been spent, and the operation of the Fund on a revolving basis, as originally contemplated, is no longer practicable.

The situation in Kenya has changed considerably since the Trust was established and I am in correspondence with the British High Commissioner in Nairobi as to whether, and on what terms provision should be made beyond the end of 1966.
