§ Mr. Grieveasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government (1) whether he is aware of the concern in the hon. Member's constituency and throughout the country caused by the destruction by the owner, Mr. Ross, of Silhill Hall, an Elizabethan house which was the subject of a preservation order; and what proposals he has for preventing similar cases in the future;
259W(2) whether he will introduce legislation this Session to increase the penalties for destroying premises which are the subject of a preservation order made by him.
