§ Mr. Priorasked the Minister of Power whether he is aware that many houses in Norfolk and Suffolk still have old-fashioned earthing systems to their electrical installations, and that this is a source of danger; and if he will take steps to bring this to the attention of the public.
§ Dr. BrayYes. The provision of a proper earth is the responsibility of the consumer. The Eastern Electricity Board have issued safety leaflets to consumers stressing the need for effective earthing arrangements and offering advice. I do not think that any further steps are needed at present.
