asked the Minister of Power whether he is satisfied that the new gas plant now under construction at Tipton will be completed before the coming winter; and if he will make a statement.

Progress with the construction of individual plants is primarily a matter for the Board and the contractors, but I am keeping closely in touch with the industry. Although there has been some slippage in the estimated completion dates for the Tipton plant as a result of difficulties experienced by the contractors, I am informed that, unless further and unforeseen delays occur at this or other plants under construction, adequate capacity should be available.
