HC Deb 27 July 1966 vol 732 c284W
101. Mr. Geoffrey Lloyd

asked the Postmaster-General whether he is aware of shortages of World Cup commemorative issue stamps of values required by foreign visitors; and what steps he is taking to ensure adequate supplies, especially in those centres where matches are being played.

Mr. Edward Short

There has been no general shortage although stocks have run out at some offices during the later stages of the Cup. We had, however, taken steps to ensure that offices in the areas where matches were being played had ample stocks. If the right hon. Gentleman has any evidence of a shortage at any of these offices I shall be glad to look into the matter.
