HC Deb 27 July 1966 vol 732 cc286-7W
Sir Clive Bossom

asked the Postmaster-General whether any arrangements have been made to accelerate the procedures for the adjustment of underground cables, when in connection with any road improvement schemes, in order to avoid excessive delays.

Mr. Joseph Slater

Every effort is made to dovetail Post Office operations with those of the highway authorities; but the authorities are not always able to provide their final plans in sufficient time for the Post Office to complete preparations for complex associated telephone engineering work.
