HC Deb 27 July 1966 vol 732 cc270-1W
Sir F. Maclean

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what government, scientific or other installations he is prepared to bring to Millport to make up for the partial removal of the Marine Biological Research Station.

Mr. Ross

I understand that the extent and timing of the partial transfer of research staff from Millport to the new laboratory to be built for the Scottish Marine Biological Association near Oban have yet to be settled; and that sympathetic consideration is being given by the Association to possible alternative educational uses of any facilities that may become available in Millport. These arrangements are outwith my direct responsibility, but I shall keep in touch with development.
