asked the Secretary of State for Defence how many married families now housed in married quarters or hirings, respectively, in Germany would be returned to the United Kingdom on the reduction of our military forces in Germany by three regiments.

Mr. Reynolds

If three major units had to be withdrawn from Germany, the number of families involved would depend on the units selected. A major unit is entitled to about 250 married quarters.

Mr. Corfield

asked the Secretary of State for Defence how many units of accommodation are available in the United Kingdom for the families of Service men on the withdrawal to home stations of units at present stationed with the British Army of the Rhine.

None is at present allocated.
