Mr. John Smith

asked the Prime Minister (1) how much foreign exchange he estimates will be saved in the next six months by restricting holiday spending abroad;

(2) how much foreign exchange he estimates will be saved in the next six months by the restrictions on gifts to residents outside the sterling area.

(3) how much foreign exchange he estimates will be saved in the next six months by the restrictions on transfer of capital by emigrants.
