asked the Secretary of State for Wales how many cases have been brought before the Rent Officer for Cardiff; and with what result.

Up to and including 16th July, 1966, 43. 40 of these have been determined resulting in 27 reductions, 7 increases and no change in 6 cases.

asked the Secretary of State for Wales how many appeals against the rent officer's decision in Cardiff have been heard before rent assessment committees; and what have been the findings of the committees.

Up to and including 16th July, 1966, 4 appeals have been heard resulting in 2 increases over the Rent Officers' determinations, and 2 reductions. In all 4 cases the final rent assessed was less than that charged before the Rent Officers' determination.
