HC Deb 21 July 1966 vol 732 cc131-2W
Q9. Mr. Faulds

asked the Prime Minister whether he will now invite the Prime Ministers of the People's Republic of China and of the Soviet Union, and the Presidents of the United States and of North Vietnam to London to discuss measures to end the war in North and South Vietnam.

The Prime Minister

As 1 have repeatedly made clear, we will take advantage of any opportunity which offers a reasonable prospect of peace in Vietnam, but first we need some sign of willing- ness that those whom my hon. Friend suggests might be invited to London are prepared to negotiate.
