Whether, in view of the ever-increasing number of yachts and boats which are in use on coastal and inland waterways, they will introduce legislation to register all such boats in order to facilitate their recovery and identification in the case of theft, loss or accident.
§ LORD RHODESNo doubt compulsory national registration of yachts and other small pleasure craft would be useful, but Her Majesty's Government do not consider that the considerable 595WA administrative task of establishing and enforcing such a system could be justified at present.
