Mr. Elystan Morgan

asked the Secretary of State for Wales if he will give an assurance that in all cases where it is legally possible so to do public forms and documents now in use in Wales will be translated into the Welsh language, and will thereafter be issued for use in Wales as soon as possible.

Mr. Cledwyn Hughes

The Hughes Parry Committee did not recommend that all documents should be translated, but only those "in fair demand", and this recommendation was accepted by the Government.
