§ Mr. Burdenasked the Secretary of State for Defence whether, in view of the fact that the present pension of £3 4s. Id. paid weekly to a long service pensioner who retired on £2 a week in October 1950 has a purchasing power of only £1 15s Od., he will now increase the pension to bring it to or above the purchasing power of the pension when it was originally awarded.
