HC Deb 21 July 1966 vol 732 cc133-4W
Q15. Mr. Arthur Lewis

asked the Prime Minister whether he will give an assurance that, in his forthcoming measures to deal with the inflationary situation, no proposals will be made which will adversely affect those on small and limited incomes and that no action will be taken which would create or increase unemployment.

The Prime Minister

I would refer my hon. Friend to the Statement I made yesterday.

Q19. Sir C. Osborne

asked the Prime Minister if, in view of the economic crisis, he will now issue the ration books already printed for the Civil Defence against war emergencies; since Great Britain can no longer pay by exports for its food, tobacco and petrol, whether he will now seek to ration these commodities; and if he will make a statement.

The Prime Minister

No.
