Mr. Ronald Atkinsasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government if he will issue a circular to local planning authorities on the need to allow British Railways to develop high and large properties over the sites of railway passenger station termini in cities in order to relieve congestion on the city roads.
§ Mr. MacCollSubject to Government policies for the control of office and industrial development, planning authorities 107W must consider any such proposal on its merits. My right hon. Friend does not think a circular would help.
