Mr. James Johnsonasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what representations he has received from the North-Eastern Sea Fisheries Committee about the need for increased patrols of the Fishery Protection Squadron to defend the British herring fleet against poaching by foreign vessels ; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. HoyWe have received two letters. The Committee has en informed that the area will be patrolled as fully as is possible within the resources available. The normal patrol will be reinforced as necessary subject to operational requirements.
