HC Deb 20 July 1966 vol 732 c102W
82. Mr. Geoffrey Wilson

asked the Minister of Transport whether she will make an estimate of the proportion of commercial traffic using the A30 and the A38 roads, respectively, as a means of access to or egress from Cornwall ; in particular what proportion of the annual export of china clay, broccoli, and potatoes by road from Cornwall uses either route ; and if she will make a statement.

Mr. Swingler

It is estimated that 43 per cent. of commercial traffic uses the A30 and 57 per cent. the A38. The A30 is used for all china clay carried by road and 95 per cent. of the agricultural produce carried by road.
