§ 58. Mr. Frank Allaunasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government if he will take steps to encourage the establishment of tenants' associations in blocks of flats so that there is some uniformity of approach by tenants of similar accommodation when appeals are made to rent officers or rent assessment committees.
§ Mr. CrossmanI am sure that a properly organised tenants' association can be of considerable help to its members in preparing a case for the rent officer or the committee, and also in other ways. The President of the London Rent Assess-48W ment Panel has arranged to speak to some tenants' associations about the Rent Act and is prepared to meet others if they wish.
