HC Deb 18 July 1966 vol 732 cc35-6W
Mr. Freeson

asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government what changes in rent levels have resulted from the decisions of rent officers in the Greater London area, other than those which have been varied on appeal to the London rent assessment committees.

Mr. Crossman

The first 1,000 rents registered in Greater London have now been analysed. All but 9 of these were determined by rent officers. The previous rent was reduced in 615, unchanged in 160 and increased in 225 cases. The overall average change was a reduction from an average annual rent of £245 to £219.
