asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs what is the policy of Her Majesty's Government regarding adherence to the Articles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

The Declaration does not have the status of a treaty or convention and it is consequently not legally possible for a state to adhere or become a party to it. But it does have great moral authority which Her Majesty's Government are determined to do all in their power to support.
