§ 95. Mr. Fisherasked the First Secretary of State and Secretary of State for Economic Affairs whether, in view of its acceptability to 74 per cent. of the public he will consider the introduction of a wages and prices freeze for a specific period, linked with appropriate productivity agreements.
§ Mr. AlbuNo. The Government welcome the wider public recognition of the need to support the policy for productivity, prices and incomes which has been agreed with management and unions. My right hon. Friend is considering ways of strengthening this policy while maintaining the voluntary principle.
