§ Mr. Joseph SlaterThe demand for telephones has increased very rapidly and no more can be connected to Yately exchange for the time being. Urgent relief measures, including a mobile exchange, are already in hand and we hope soon to begin to connect about half of those now waiting. Other measures will follow as quickly as practicable.
