In the case of those incorporated in Great Britain the year under which they are included is the year of their incorporation. In the case of companies incorporated overseas it is the year in which they first did business in Great Britain. The date against a company's name is the date on which it commenced underwriting where this is known. Overseas companies are indicated by the letter O.
