Mr. Staintonasked the President of the Board of Trade whether, in view of the facts revealed to the Restrictive Practices Court in the case of the tyre manufacturers, he will now introduce legislation to make registrable agreements for the exchange of information, with a view to preventing circumvention of the Restrictive Trade Practices Act, 1956; and whether he will make a statement.
§ Mr. DarlingMy right hon. Friend intends to introduce legislation to deal with this loophole in the Restrictive Trade Practices Act, 1956, as soon as the Parliamentary timetable permits.
