asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they will provide full information concerning the investigations by the Road Research Laboratory mentioned by the Minister of Transport in her recent speech to the Women's Press Club, which she stated had found most motorists to be in favour of the 70 m.p.h. speed limit.

This information is included in the Road Research Laboratory's interim report on the 70 m.p.h. speed limit trial which is due to be published in the next few days. A copy will be sent to the noble Lord.
