55. Mr. Braine

asked the Minister of Health if he will reconsider his decision to reduce by two-thirds the Essex County Council's provision of old people's welfare homes planned for the year 1966–67.

asked the Minister of Health, in view of the increasing elderly population in Essex, if he will give an assurance that he will not cut back the number of old people's welfare homes planned for the years 1966–67.
