asked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether he will give a breakdown of the ages, sexes, previous occupations or professions or training qualifications of approximately 40,000 Scots who migrated from Scotland during the 12-month period to 30th June 1965; and whether he will give an estimate of the numbers migrating in the 12-month period up to 30th June 1966.

I regret that no factual information is available. The table set out below gives a rough estimate for 1964–65 by age and sex of the net loss of migration. An estimate of the net loss to June 1966 will not be ready until about November.
