HC Deb 04 July 1966 vol 731 cc14-5W
Mr. George Jeger

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether, in view of the continuation of the Spanish restrictions on the frontiers of Gibraltar, he will postpone the talks with the Spanish Government representatives until the frontier restrictions are removed and the situation restored to pre-1954 conditions.

Mr. George Thomson

As my right hon. Friend, the Foreign Secretary told the House on 28th February, it was right for us to take account of the United Nations Resolution on December 1965 and to promote talks in accordance with it. We do not propose to go back on that action.
